Terms of Use

These terms apply when you use Tally. Tally is provided by the developer identified for the app on its App Store product page. By using the app, you agree to these terms and the Privacy Policy.

What Tally does

Tally lets groups create trips, make countdown images, share photos, record expenses, calculate balances, and record settlements.

Tally does not hold, send, or receive money. A balance or settlement in Tally is a record created from information entered by users. Any payment or reimbursement happens outside Tally.

Your account and content

You are responsible for activity under your account and for the accuracy and legality of content you add. Only upload photos and other content you have permission to use. When you invite someone or add their name to a trip, make sure you have an appropriate reason to share that trip’s information with them.

You keep ownership of your content. You give Tally permission to host, process, resize, display, and transmit it only as needed to operate the app for you and the other members of your trips.

Shared trip records

Trip members can add records that affect the group. Owners control trip membership and may remove people, transfer ownership, or delete a trip. Expense creators and trip owners can edit or permanently delete expenses. Reversed settlements remain visible as history so the group ledger stays understandable. If you delete your account, shared financial history may remain in trips kept by other members under the label “Former member,” as described in the Privacy Policy.

Acceptable use

Do not use Tally to break the law, violate another person’s rights, harass others, upload malicious content, probe or bypass access controls, interfere with the service, automate abusive traffic, or access a trip without authorization. Do not use Tally as a payment service, bank account, escrow service, or system of record where an error could cause serious harm.

No financial advice

Tally’s calculations are organizational tools, not financial, tax, accounting, or legal advice. The app cannot verify that entries represent valid debts or that a recorded settlement actually occurred. Trip members are responsible for reviewing and resolving their own records.

Availability and warranties

Tally is provided “as is” and “as available.” Features may change, and service can be interrupted or contain errors. To the extent permitted by law, the developer disclaims implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. Some jurisdictions do not allow every disclaimer, so these limits apply only as far as the law permits.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, the developer is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost data, profits, opportunities, or disputed expenses arising from use of Tally. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited.

Ending use

You may stop using Tally at any time and can request account deletion in the app. Access may be restricted or ended if needed to protect users, comply with law, or address a material violation of these terms.

Changes and contact

Updated terms will be posted here with a new date. If a material change requires additional consent, Tally will request it where required. For questions, use the Tally support contact provided with the app or on its App Store product page.
